
MARCUS M. YARBROUGH, devoted and cherished husband of Monse, departed this life Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his home at the age of 51 years. Beloved son of George and Mary (deceased). In addition to his father, Marcus is survived by his wife, Monse; children, Grace, Mya, Trayvon, Robin, Zevin and Cairo (CJ). He was a devoted father and friend to many. He was an active participant in Foster Family Advocacy and with his wife fostered numerous children over the years.
Family will receive friends at The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home, 4600 Mayfield Rd., South Euclid (just East of Green Rd.) on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 4-8 PM. Please meet for the funeral service on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Forest Hill Church – Presbyterian, 3031 Monticello Blvd. (corner of Lee Rd.) Cleveland Heights, at 10 AM. Burial following in Cleveland Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Fostering Hope, at 3737 Lander Rd, Pepper Pike, OH 44124 https://www.fosteringhopeohio.org/give a nonprofit that was very dear to him, and to Trails for Travis, 4346 W 229, Fairview Park, OH, 44126 https://trailsfortravis.org/ a nonprofit that supports clinical trials and the families navigating through a Glioblastoma diagnosis.

A la distancia enviamos un abrazo para todos ustedes, nuestro cariño y más sinceras condolencias. Lamentamos profundamente esta pérdida que enluta a toda la familia y que sin duda dejará un vacío gigante en sus vidas.
Sabemos que no hay palabras que logren minimizar el dolor, pero también confiamos en que con el tiempo, podrán vivir sabiendo que Marcus los amó y vivió por ustedes, que les dejó grandes enseñanzas y sobre todo, que desde el cielo está acompañándolos a cada momento.
Un abrazo enorme para todos, especialmente para nuestra Monse, una mujer fuerte y un ejemplo sobre cómo amar a otros. Esperamos que puedan encontrar refugio en Dios, y que cada momento vivido con Marc los esté acompañando hoy, para recordarnos que la vida se vive amando a otros, entregándonos por entero a nuestra familia.

Nuestras sinceras condolencias en este momento tan difícil. Esperamos sinceramente que encuentres refugio en Dios, y que él te guíe y te acompañe. Confía en que desde otro lugar, tu esposo está contigo, porque las personas que amamos y que nos dejan, viven en cada uno de nosotros. Recuérdalo en cada sonrisa, en cada palabra de tus hijos porque ellos llevan consigo un pedacito de su padre. Recuérdalo y ámalo cada día, enviándole siempre amor hacia el cielo; estamos seguros de que desde algún lugar, aunque no lo puedas ver, él estará velando por ti y su familia.

My wife, Iris, (who also struggled with cancer for 2 years and died in 2007) and I have known Monse since she arrived from Chile at the age of 15 months. My heart goes out to her and her children in the loss of a wonderful husband and father.
