I worked with Marie for about five years at CSU Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (where I still work) and she was just wonderful. So positive, friendly, always willing to lend a hand, and so easy to talk with – about anything. She really cared about the students and her colleagues. I really missed seeing her around after her retirement. My deepest condolences to Michael, and her two sons she talked about a lot, Marc and David.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. My heart is broken. I knew Marie for 21 years. First, as a law student and lastly as the Director of Legal Writing. We who taught legal research and writing, and those of us who published, so depended upon Marie. She was a treasured asset to the law library and to her colleagues as well. Marie was a brilliant researcher and such a hard worker. She was a great teacher. Marie loved best working with CM law students. Marie was my good friend and I learned so much from her. I am so grateful to have known her. My deepest sympathy Michael, Mark, David and family.

Heartfelt condolences to the family. Marie was truly one beautiful, kind and very dedicated woman. It has been a blessing to have known her, work with her and converse with her. She shared a wealth of information pertaining to law with all who sought her assistance in the law library. She will be truly missed.

Please accept my deepest sympathies during this very difficult time. I hope the memories you have of Marie comfort you. As I look back in time, I was always hanging around the Adams house growing up, and one memory I always have of Marie is when she helped me in school, as I disliked reading, and reading was her passion as everyone knew. Marie would not accept that I didn’t like reading. She would bring home books from the library until she found something I liked, and it finally worked. She got me hooked on the Nancy Drew mystery series. Then I liked reading more and more. Marie was like another sister to me, always caring and supportive, and always finding the good in any situation. I’m so sorry for your loss and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Marie’s ever-present smile greeted students, staff, faculty, and administrators of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law for over 30 years. Her unflagging support of students in all ways was evidenced by her willingness to provide research, support food and clothing drives, and donate to student-centeted causes. Marie was constantly searching for ways to make life easier for students, often suggesting programs and initiatives for administrators to develop. Even after her retirement from the law library, Marie continued to cheer on the CSU Viking men’s and women’s basketball teams. Marie was the consummate advocate and cheerleader for everything CSU. Our sadness at her passing is only lessened by remembering Marie’s quiet manner and the smiling support of her cheerful spirit.
