MARIJA “MICI” KOCJAN (PRIJATELJ)
Mass of Christian Burial for Marija “Mici” Kocjan , 87, of Euclid , will be 10 a.m. Tuesday June 2, 2015 at St. Vitus Church 6019 Lausche Ave. Cleveland followed by burial in All Souls Cemetery.
Mrs. Kocjan passed away Friday at her residence. Born to the late Franc and Marija Prijatelj in Velike Poljane, Slovenia, she had been a resident of Euclid for 48 years. She was employed as a machine operator by the Cuyahoga Molded Plastics Co. for 20 years. Mici was a founding member of the singing group Korotan, member of St. Paul’s Church Choir and Adoration Team, St. Vitus Altar and Rosary Society and the Slovenska Pristava Pensioners. She loved to cook and was an avid gardener.
Marija is survived by her husband of 63 years Anton; daughters Mary Petelin and Kathy Maurice; grandchildren Tanya (Pete) Loncar, Tina Petelin, Teja (Rick) Novak, Dani (Adam) Moody and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her nine siblings and grandchildren Christopher and Baby Maurice
Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home 28890 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills.
