MARTIN L. CARLSON age 61, beloved husband for 40 years of Sandra (nee Brown); loving father of Meghan, Bernadette, Bridget (fiancé Sean), Juliana (fiancé Logan), and Veronica; son of the late Wallace and Kathleen (nee Prenatt); son-in-law of David (the late Judy) Brown and the late Loretta Brown; brother of Frank (Janice), Tim (Theresa), Rick, Brian (Kyung), and the late John (Shari); brother-in-law of Mindy (the late Tommy) Mays, Karen (Larry) McConnell, and Dave (Akiko) Brown; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.
Martin was born on May 2, 1962, in Ashtabula, Ohio and graduated from Harbor High School. He worked many years for the Housing Authority of Lake County and St. Michael and St. Andrew Byzantine Catholic Church until later working independently before retirement. Martin played the guitar and loved all things music, especially Classic Rock and Punk. He enjoyed watching crime shows and was interested in ghost shows and the unknown of paranormal activity. On May 30, 2023, this man with a great sense of humor passed away leaving his family missing him endlessly.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Martin at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 2-4 PM, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 4 PM.
