MARTIN H. ROSENBLUM, aged 73 years, was born in East Cleveland on May 11, 1949 and passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 19, 2023. Beloved husband of 45 years to Ellen (nee Meredith), loving father to Jeffrey (Olga) and Matthew (Abbie), cherished grandfather to Allie, Lili, Breanna, Fallon and Parker, devoted son of the late Samuel and Mildred (nee Greenberg), dear brother of Robert (Nancy – deceased) and Sheldon (deceased), fond brother-in-law of Cynthia Martin (Jack – deceased) and Jack Meredith (Beth), dear uncle of Marcie Timen (Mark), Gregg Rose (Joanne deceased), Jay Martin (Charmin), Jennifer Martin, Carrie Sweitzer (Ray), Jennifer Thiele (Micheal), Jeremy Meredith and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews.
If you knew Marty Rosenblum then you know he was a great bar owner and businessman. As a matter of fact, he owned bars since his early 20’s. He then went on to become the manager of food distribution of the lodges at The Q. He was a very hard-working man.
If you knew him well then you may have played a few games of poker with him or heard one of his many jokes.
He loved to play poker, ride his motorcycle in his early years and spend time with family. His eyes would always light up when he saw his grandkids. He always made time for his sons whether it was little league, teaching them how to drive or help working on their cars.
He had many stories to tell and loved to share them.
His family was his life. His wife, sons and his 5 granddaughters were everything to him. He worked hard to make sure his family had everything they needed. There was never a time when food wasn’t on the table.
He will be greatly missed by many.
A special thank-you to the Lyndhurst Fire Department Paramedics. They were always there when we needed them.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH 44035; the Cleveland Food Bank; or a donation of your choice.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Martin at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) Offer Condolence for the family of Martin H. Rosenblum

Joanna Jauregui
My sincere condolences go out to Marty’s family. I worked with him for many years at Quicken Loans Arena which is now Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. He was my supervisor and we worked MANY events together! He was a character! It made the long hours and sometimes chaotic work environment enjoyable. He loved Ellen dearly and was so proud of his boys. Always sharing stories of his family, life, and wisdom he learned along the way. I am blessed to have had him in my life until he retired from the “Q” Prayers for the family… He was a great man! He will be missed.
