MARY JO LANDER (nee Liptow) age 62, beloved mother of Michael J. (wife Satomi); devoted grandmother of Masaki and Airi; cherished daughter of the late Jerome and Ruth (nee Ricciardi) Liptow; dearest sister of Joseph Liptow (wife Sandra) and Elizabeth Dunlap (husband Craig); dear aunt of Emily, James (fiancé Missette), Sara and Jacob Liptow. Dearest niece and cousin of many.
Mary was born on February 3, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up and spent most of her life in South Euclid. Mary graduated from Notre Dame High School and went to St. Francis College in Altoona, PA where she earned a degree in education. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and going to lunch with friends. Her biggest joy was being with her family at gatherings, especially during the holidays. Mary was a huge Cleveland Cavs and Indians sports fan, and she enjoyed doing arts and crafts.
Most would describe her as always willing to help others, as she was very generous and giving. She was a social person who loved to plan a good party. She was a devoted mother to her son Michael, who affectionately says, he is the person he is today because of the person she was while he was growing up. Mary will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

My big sister Mary has always been a part of my life. She took care of me when I was little and was my teacher growing up. Mary was always my friend. Never judging and always caring. She is now made whole in mind and body in heaven. She is with our parents, and I am sure she is already planning one hell of a party!! Love you sister!!
