Mary Lou McMyler was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles G. Sr. and Dorothy (nee Heuslein). She passed away peacefully, on April 12, 2022, at the age of 73, with family by her side. She was the cherished sister of the late Charles G. Jr., James, Patricia Fotheringham and John, fond sister-in-law to Geraldine “Geri” (nee Grenwis), treasured aunt and great-aunt. Mary Lou was a long-time resident of Aurora, Ohio and a member of the Church of the Holy Angels. She graduated from Gesu Elementary School in 1963 and from Regina High School in 1967. Mary Lou worked as a mortgage advisor with Key Bank for many years.
After retiring from Key Bank, she stayed busy by working part-time at Heinen’s and volunteering at the animal shelter. Mary Lou found her passion in volunteering with the many dogs at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter. Mary Lou rescued her two dogs (and previous dogs), Bourbon and Daphne, and they were her whole world. Aside from volunteering at the shelter, Mary Lou enjoyed crafting and craft shows, baking, and spending time with family, her dogs, and friends. She was known for her amazing pumpkin roll and pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving. She always had a story to share, especially about growing up with her siblings, with her nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou was a loving, outgoing, intelligent, and extremely compassionate woman. She will be missed by many.

“Mar” we spent many years doing so many things together. From bowling, softball, attending Indians games, going out dancing, and just having fun. I will treasure those memories and keep you close in my heart forever. I’m sorry for how much you suffered but proud of how you fought to live. Now, may you Rest In Peace in God’s arms and in the arms of your loved ones.

I’m so sorry to learn of Mary Lou’s passing. I’m disappointed that I was not aware of it sooner because I would have been at her Mass. We were great friends while I was at Gesu and enjoyed seeing each other at reunions. Mary Lou and her loving family are in my prayers. My deepest sympathies.

So very sorry to hear Mary Lou passed away…just found out yesterday (June 9th) from a neighbor. She was a joy to talk to! We became friends as she would walk Bourbon and Daphine as I would be out working on the yard. We always discuss our neighborhood, the city and even Heinens! She left a big void and will be missed.
