Larry and Diane, I am so sad to learn that Matt has passed away. He was such a fine, upbeat and accomplished young man. Always smiling. He had two devoted, loving parents caring for him and you gave him a wonderful life. I recall your trips to Indian’s training camp and had hopes to meet you there one day. I have no idea how we lost touch, but I’m sure you knew we had moved out-of-state several years ago. I am so happy to see that the list of nieces and nephews Matt had has grown since we’ve talked. My sincere condolences to you and your sons. God Bless. Contact me.

I’m so very sorry. Matt was a delight at Metz. Always smiling. What’s your name? Always made me smile.
Melissa Kerr
I was listening to the radio yesterday when a Shania Twain song came on and I immediately thought of Matt as I used to joke around with him and tell him my name was Shania and he would crack up. We often played the name game. Then I began wondering how he was doing and when I returned to work was informed he had passed. Goodbye little buddy, from Shania aka Melissa.

We will see you again “CUTIE “. Larry, Diane and family sending our prayers of comfort and peace. Love and Hugs.

Di am deeply saddened by the loss of my “best friend in world”.
Thanks for being my steady friend and brightening up my day on camping trips, evening baseball games, drop in visits, geocaching adventures and get-togethers. Not to mention your good advice to “use eyes!”
I will carry fond memories of you in my heart unil I “see you ’round the bend”.
Cassandra

I’m so sorry for y’all loss. I was a bus driver, and I remember having Mathew on my bus for a couple years. I worked with Matt several times at the work shop, while substituting for other staff. After transferring to the Adult Service Center, where I enjoyed more time with Matt, not working with him directly, but seeing his smiling face every day. I have since moved to SC but every time I returned to Ohio, I always would visit my friends at Metz. I know Mathew will be missed by many.. Fondly Dianna (Gillenkirk) Kinney.

Diane and Larry, I’m so sorry to hear of Matthew’s passing. My brother Tom let me know. Even though we’ve not kept in touch over the years, Matt’s smiling face came immediately into my mind when I got Tom’s message. The memorial video is the most beautiful tribute and expression of your love for him, and your dedication to giving him the best, fullest life. God blessed you with him, him with you, and God blessed all who knew him in any way. Peace to you now, and always.
