  21. Alex Rheinheimer :

I can remember clear as day the first and only time I saw Mike ride. He was schooling a children’s hunter at Littlewood and in a matter of minutes made this unruly horse go like butter. With the greatest of ease, in perfect form, balance, and rhythm Mike accomplished what takes a lifetime for so many. It was at that very moment, as he resembled his dad Stanley who also had that natural gift, that I realized Mike had finally found his true calling. Eyes lit up, taking each fence with ease, Jumping even the partitions in the middle of the schooling ring! A total riot. Oh Mike…..Gone far too soon. Such a talent in every way. Praying for you – Amanda, Roxane, Hilary and Madison – may you find solace during this terrible time. Godspeed, Mike. Xoxo, Alex & JIM
