NANCY O’BRIEN (nee Zeleznikar), age 63; beloved wife for 37 years of Timothy; loving mother of Sean (wife Amanda), and twins Katherine “Katie” Koehnle (husband Mike) and Kristen O’Brien (Jason McConnell); devoted and adoring grandmother of Garrett O’Brien; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn (nee Rybak) Zeleznikar; dearest sister of Mary Ann Mascellino (husband John), Evelyn Victor (husband Bill, deceased), Frank Zeleznikar (wife Anita), Joan Jenkins (husband Tom), Robert Zeleznikar (wife Tina), and Ruth Meadows (husband Tom); dear sister-in-law, aunt, and cousin of many.
Nancy was a resident of Newbury for over 36 years and member of St. Helen. She was born in Garfield Heights, the middle child of seven. She graduated from Trinity High School and Cuyahoga Community College and went on to be a Dental Hygienist for many years. Nancy recently retired from the dental office of Dr. Cavolo and previously worked for Dr. Salerno. She was also found volunteering her time as an usher for Chagrin Valley Little Theater, baking for Church events, and supporting the Walnut Hill Cloggers. Nancy enjoyed reading, gardening, making crafts, walking and picnicking at many local parks in the area, and spending much time in her home. She especially enjoyed hosting Christmas Eve every year. Her family and being together gave her the greatest joy. They describe Nancy as amazing, quiet, unassuming, one that all loved, selfless, always there for others and always a listener for others. She will be greatly missed by all of her family.

Dear O’Brian family,
I saw Nancy’s picture in the obits and I needed to tell you how wonderful she was. She was my hygienist for 20 + yrs. I would not go to any others. I was just her patient, did not know her outside.. but she was wonderful to me. Im so very sorry for your loss. Just wanted to let you know that she was soo very good at her profession.
