NOHA MOURAD age 63, loving mother of Danny (Gina) Tohme, Donna Tohme, and Gizelle (Christopher) Rivero; devoted Teyta of Ileana, Idan, and Isaac Tohme and Nasir Rivero; cherished daughter of Fares and Nabiha (nee Ayoub) Mourad; dearest sister of Bechara (deceased), Nazek, Mona, Hoda, Aida, Antoinette, Therese, and Amal; dear friend and caregiver of many.
Noha was born on September 29, 1959, in Lebanon and immigrated to the United States at the early age of seventeen. She settled in northeast Ohio, making her home in the Cleveland area. She became active in the community, spreading love and selflessness as an active parishioner of St. Maron Catholic Church and as a daycare owner of sixteen years. Her care and generosity impacted many families. She loved being a cosmetologist and was proud of her effort and achievements. Noha enjoyed maintaining a connection to her home and heritage, often sharing beautiful and delicious homemade Lebanese cuisine and lively dabke dancing with her loved ones. She often visited family in Lebanon and enjoyed traveling. Her love for her siblings, children, and grandchildren was boundless, and she thoroughly enjoyed sharing a birthday with her first grandchild, Ileana. Those who loved Noha remember her heart of gold, patience, and love. She had an unmatched passion for life, always maintaining a kind demeanor and sense of humor despite any challenges she met. Her family recalls her strength as well as her kindness. After a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer Noha earned her rest and passed away on June 5, 2023, leaving her family missing her beyond measure.
Along with flowers, contributions are welcome and may be made in memory of Noha to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Family and friends are requested to meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at St. Maron Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Noha at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)
