ANGELO SANTAMARIA, age 68, beloved fiancé of Susan Myers; loving step-father of Jason (wife Holly); devoted grandfather of Mercedes, Angelina, Gabrielle, and J.J.; cherished son of Angelo John and the late Julia Mary (nee Gyetko) SantaMaria; dearest brother of Carmen (fiancé Samantha) and Chuck (wife Shannon); Loving dog dad to Nicholas; dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Angelo was born on October 21, 1957, to Angelo and Julia in East Cleveland, Ohio. He spent much of his life living in Northfield Ohio, although when he was young, he did venture out west to California and then around to Florida, before returning to Ohio. After high school, he chose a career in home improvement, where he took immense pride in his work and at one point, was the proud owner of a gutter installation company. It was while in the Home Improvement business that he met the love of his life, Susan. They finally found their way back to each other 5 years ago and became happily engaged 2 years ago. Angelo enjoyed spending time with his brothers and cousins playing golf, baseball, and football. He especially looked forward to playing golf with his brothers every Sunday where he always amazed and amused them with his ambidexterity, by successfully swinging his golf clubs either right or left-handed. He did the same thing when he was up to bat while playing baseball. Angelo loved his sports and rarely missed a football game. In addition to sports, Angelo had a keen interest in classic and sports cars and enjoyed watching all the car restoration shows. He loved to play cards; he enjoyed target shooting and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. He needed to know how everything worked. And he was addicted to the "Gold Rush" series on TV. But what brought him the most enjoyment in life was riding his motorcycles. Angelo's favorite holidays were Christmas and New Year's. He especially looked forward to his mother's mouthwatering Christmas feasts, as he absolutely loved her cooking. Angelo was the type of guy who was willing to help you out, no matter how, or when or where. He was a caring son who loved his mother dearly and put family above anything else. Angelo was very sociable and made friends wherever he went. Angelo returned home to heaven on December 26, 2025, surrounded by his family. He fought a brave, courageous battle until the very end. Instead of worrying about himself, he worried about his loved ones whom he was leaving behind.
