Ani Rak

ANI RAK (nee JANEŽIČ) age 92, beloved wife for 54 years of Vincent; loving mother of David (Kathy), Alan (Yoni), Kevin (Mary), and Becki Swoager (Jeff); devoted grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of 4; cherished daughter of the late Aloysius and Katarina Janežič;  dear sister of Stefi (Anton) Kolar, Dani (Ivo) Hrovat, and the late Mimi (Jože) Gramc, Lubi Janežič, and Franci (Joži) Janežič; dearest aunt and great-aunt of many.

Ani was born on September 22, 1926, and passed away on January 13, 2019. She worshipped at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Wickliffe for over 50 years, and was active in the choir and as a cantor.  Ani enjoyed gardening and baking. She always enjoyed the Slovenska Pristava community, and for many years was an active member of their Pensioners club. A competitive runner, she was extremely proud to be selected to run with the Olympic torch in Painesville before the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta.  Ani will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 9:30 – 11 AM with a Mass to follow at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Wickliffe. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.
