Anita Roberts

Anita better known as “Nita” was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 10,1960 accompanied by her twin sister Roberta “Berty” Roberts. Anita attended Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio where she made many lifelong friends. After high school, she charted her path working various jobs but spent most of her working years as a machine operator at a factory in Mentor, Ohio.  She decided to change her career path just before age 40, when she enrolled into a pharmacy technician program.  Her family was proud to see her graduate as a licensed pharmacy technician.

Nita was not only a hard worker, she was also a loving and supportive wife to her husband of over 20 years.  Together they welcomed one child into this world, a daughter who she loved and adored.  Nita enjoyed caring for children and helped nurture and raise many of her nieces and nephews.  She was an avid animal lover. She made the family’s dogs, Trevor and Tinka feel like they were her kids too.  Aside from her love of family, Nita also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, playing cards and line-dancing at local dance halls.

On Thursday December 31st,2021 at the age of 61, she was called home to her lord and savior. She is preceded in death by her parents Margaret and George Roberts, sisters Darlene and Roberta, and brother Walter. She is survived by her husband, N. Simmons and daughter, Latasha.  She leaves her memories to be cherished by siblings Barbara, George and Deborah, her mother & father-in-law, 4 sister-in-laws, many nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends.

Anita Elizabeth Roberts-Simmons was loved and will be greatly missed!
