Nita enjoyed caring for children and helped nurture and raise many of her nieces and nephews. She was an avid animal lover. She made the family’s dogs, Trevor and Tinka feel like they were her kids too. Aside from her love of family, Nita also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, playing cards and line-dancing at local dance halls.
