Anthony J. “Tony” Brazie

Anthony J. “Tony” Brazie, age 80, beloved husband for 58 years    of Rita  (nee Ott); loving father of Christopher (wife Dawn, nee DeHosse), Juliette Marijolovic (husband Marinko), twins Justin (wife Stacey, nee Schmidt) and Steve (wife Becky nee, Ardo); devoted grandfather of Max Brazie, twins Kate and Sara Marijolovic, Mia, Ava and Chloe Brazie; cherished son of the late Harold and Delores (nee Caufield); treasured brother of Cynthia Troia (husband John), Mary Brazie,  Harold “Dan” Brazie (wife Cheryl), and the late Larry Brazie; dearest brother-in-law of Betty and the late Joe Kilbane, Jean and Jon Lynch, Edward and Gayle Ott and the late Thomas and Rita Ott and Irene and James Schneider; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Tony was born September 21, 1940 and died peacefully on August 6, 2021.   He was a resident of Willowick for the past 48 years, previously residing in Cleveland Hts. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene’s parish.

Tony attended and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1958.  While providing for his wife and four children, he attended college at night for eight years.  Tony earned his degree in accounting in 1976 from Cleveland State University. He was a Certified Public Accountant. He worked for The Sherwin-Williams Company as an accountant for 43 years. He also served as the Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Willowick and was the Controller for the Acacia Country Club for ten years. Additionally, Tony owned and operated his own tax preparation business for over thirty-years.

He was an avid photographer and reader. Tony was a passionate Indians fan and enjoyed traveling west to attend the Indian’s Spring Training. He enjoyed trains and Star Wars. Tony also dedicated over forty years to tracing and documenting 8 branches of his family tree.

Tony was devoted to his faith and family and found his greatest joy in his children and grandchildren. Tony was a kind and gentle man with an infectious smile. In 58 years he and his wife Rita never had an argument. Tony will always be remembered as “fantastic” and will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Tony to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society- Eastern Great Lakes, 6111 Oak Tree Blvd. Suite 130 | Independence, OH 44131.  Mass of Christian Burial Thursday August 12, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church 32114 Vine St, Willowick, OH 44095 at 10AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Tony at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3-8PM.
