ANTHONY JOSEPH URSICH age 95, beloved husband of Bernice (nee Mucha); devoted father of Christine (Nicholas) Yovanovic, Carl (deceased) (Kathleen Blakely McCarthy), Charles, Clifford (Mary Ann) and Christopher; cherished grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of four; dearest uncle of Lori Williamson. He was preceded in death by brothers Nick and George, sisters Ella Ciganko and Florence Williamson.
He proudly served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II in the China-Burma-India Theater. He was a 45 year loyal employee of Ohio Bell Telephone, Richmond Heights, Charter Commission 1958-59, Kiwanis, Telephone Pioneers “Talking Book”, a volunteer at the Cleveland Sight Center, and was a 30 year usher at St. Felicitas Church. The family suggests memorial donations to the St. John of the Cross Liturgical Tribute Fund or Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine Euclid, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. John of the Cross Church. Interment All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME 28890 CHARDON RD (BETWEEN BISHOP RD AND RT. 91 ) OF WILLOUGHBY HILL on SUNDAY from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M.
