ANTON “TONY” KOZELJ age 82, beloved husband for 52 years of Marija (nee Smolic); loving father of Anton (wife Pamela) and Peter (wife Caitlyn); devoted grandfather of Gavin, Gweneth, Asa and the late Mila; cherished son of the late Ivan and Marija (nee Horvat); dearest brother of Mary Rot (husband Adolf, deceased), France (wife Toncka), and the late Joze (wife Veronika, deceased), Janez (wife Ancka, deceased), and Stane (wife Anka); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Anton was born in Hocevje, Slovenia on April 21, 1941, residing three years in Germany as an apprentice prior to moving to the United States in 1968.  He passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17.  Anton was a master carpenter for Built Right Construction for 22 years until 1989, before owning and operating his own business.   Traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Europe brought him great enjoyment.  He was an avid sports fan and reader of history.  Family and friends would describe him as hard working, easy to get along with, honest, and a man of integrity with a great sense of humor.  Anton was highly devoted to his family and faith.  He was a member of KSKJ, Slovenska Pristava, and Carpenters Local Union #435.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights, Ohio 44143 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Anton at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91), Monday 4-7 PM.
