BETTY MAE ROGERS (nee Kirby) age 83, beloved wife for 41 years of Leonard; loving mother of Debra  Shisila (husband Mark), Michael Swanson (wife Wendy) and the late James Swanson; devoted grandmother of Ashley Bales (husband Andrew), Dawn Swanson and Jazmin Foster (husband Joseph) and great-grandmother of Braxton, James, and Ean; cherished daughter of the late Alton and Mamie (nee McMillan) Kirby; dearest sister of Steve Kirby (wife Julie), Sandy Loczy (husband Ronald) and the late Don, Harold and Bud Kirby; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Betty was born on February 3, 1938 and passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021. She was born in Lenoir, North Carolina and moved to Cleveland as a young girl. Betty graduated from Shaw High School in 1957. She was a proud parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She truly was an amazing homemaker and cook. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her the most enjoyment in life. She loved the holidays and loved to dance. Betty and Leonard were like two peas in a pod and spent all their time together. She will be remembered most as a kind, easy going woman who was extremely selfless. Betty will be forever missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.

Family will receive friends from 10:30-11AM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Helen Catholic Church 12060 Kinsman Rd, Newbury Township, OH 44065. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.
