ROBERT JOHN “BOB” CICEK age 82, beloved husband for 62 years of Marjorie Ann (nee Green); loving father of Pamela Hirko (husband Brian), Robin Cicek, Timothy (wife Sunkyoung), Robert, and Michael (wife Molly); devoted grandfather of Nathaniel, Hannah, and Noah Hirko, Erin (Lee) Kepford, Johnathon Dome, Syrus, Hunter, Morgan, and Michael Cicek and great-grandfather of Benjamin, Olivia, and Warren Kepford; cherished son of the late Louis and Veronica (nee Kelenc) Cicek; dearest brother of the late Louis Cicek; dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many.
Bob was born on May 9, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio and was a longtime resident of Mayfield Village and Highland Heights. He graduated from Willoughby South High School and went on to study accounting at John Carroll University. Bob was the retired CFO of American Alloy Corporation and had previously served as President, Treasurer, Director and had a profound sense for business. He volunteered his time on several boards over the years including Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries, and most recently as the Executive of Charles R. Jelm Foundation. He enjoyed family vacations, spending many at Hilton Head Island, and loved being with family during the holidays. In Bob’s spare time, he enjoyed golfing, investing in stocks, playing chess, and listening to a variety of music, particularly polka. He was very caring and everyone’s go-to person offering reliable support with keen common sense. Bob was a loving and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Contributions suggested in memory of Bob to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Road, Gates Mills. Private Burial later in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Bob at DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
