Clyde H. Loughridge

CLYDE H. LOUGHRIDGE, Jr., age 98 years, beloved husband of Karen Horton Loughridge (nee Rosengarten), died after a brief illness on November 30, 2019. He was dear father of Janet Kramer (Bill), Russ Loughridge (Joyce Raque), Dan Loughridge, & Martha Loughridge (Piet van Lier), like-a-father to Megan Horton, loving grandfather of John, Tara, Ben, Kelly, Sean, Ayman, Molly, Alex & Nico, great-grandfather of Liam, Bradey, Ruth & Lucas, devoted son of the late Clyde H. Loughridge & Margaret (nee Stevenson), and brother of the late Lois Grayson & Ruth Hamilton, widower of the late Ruth Loughridge (nee Heacock).

A Lakewood native & Eagle Scout, Clyde graduated from Cornell University (BSME) & Harvard Business School, and served in the US Army Signal Corps in WWII. He had a distinguished 35-year career at Lincoln Electric Co., followed by an active 36-year retirement during which he enjoyed family & friends, church & community service, skiing, sailing, tennis, golf, birding, world travel & much more. Humble, kind, hard-working, fun-loving, adventurous & generous, he was an inspiration to all who met him.

Family will receive friends at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (East of Green Rd.) FRIDAY, DEC. 6, FROM 5-7:30 PM, AND SATURDAY DEC. 7, FROM 2-5 PM. Memorial Service on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 PM at Forest Hill Church Presbyterian, 3031 Moticello Blvd., Cleveland Hts., OH 44118. Reception to follow.
