Constance Miozzi

CONSTANCE MIOZZI (nee Flowers) age 87, beloved wife for 64 years of the late Norman; loving mother of Christine Ianni (Mark), Norman (Karen), Frank (Katy), Ken (Tami), Jean Misch (Gary), Paul (Jana), Laura Pugel (Rich), Shari Harper (Doug), Bob, Catherine Lynch (Jamie), Joe (Erica) and Tim (Lauren); devoted grandmother of 34 and great-grandmother of 15; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Esther (nee Peters) Flowers; dearest twin sister of the late Carol McMillan; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Born in Cleveland, OH on March 4, 1938, Connie, along with her twin sister, was an entertainer since childhood. From ballet to tap, clarinet & piano lessons, she sang and danced her way through life, performing both on radio and local variety shows throughout her teens. The Flower Twins, as she and her sister were known, were active in the music programs at Beaumont High School and could always be heard singing harmony in the hallways until she graduated in 1956. She willingly chose marriage to her devoted husband, Norman, instead of a career in Hollywood. Their 64-year marriage filled her life with so much joy as they raised 12 children, always saying that her capacity to love increased with each child. With 34 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, her love & joy were overflowing.

Connie’s faith and devotion to God was the foundation of her life and her family was her greatest blessing. She and Norm began their faithful life together at St. Margaret Mary Parish where she was an active member in Choir, Prayer Group and Women’s Guild. She shared her love of Christ as a preschool & PSR teacher for many years.

Connie loved to shop, especially “bumming” through thrift stores for carnival glass. She loved camping, singing around the campfire, playing slot machines and music. She had a song for everything. And when she wasn’t singing, she was talking. She had the gift of gab. Connie always knew the right words to say and made everyone feel loved and appreciated.

Connie passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, but we know she sang & danced her way to Heaven. Her incredible laugh & joyful spirit will be missed, but we know her song will play on.

Contributions may be made in memory of Connie to Hospice of Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
