Corinne Sue Seifert, born on July 1, 1948, in Fairport Harbor, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Cori will always be remembered by her friends and family as being enduring, resilient and a forever-optimist. Her Finnish heritage would acknowledge her inner “SISU” or extreme determination and grit to keep moving forward.
Throughout her life, Cori had a profound love for nature and wildlife, particularly horses (Seabiscuit), dogs (countless beagles and her rescue dog Jasper) and wolves (Adopt a Wolf). She found joy and solace in the great outdoors, which inspired her to engage with organizations such as the National Wildlife Federation beginning in 1989.
Cori was passionate about poetry, card making, scrapbooking and creating floral arrangements. She enjoyed sharing these artistries with friends and family through her "Creations by Cori”. Cori’s artistic endeavors were a reflection of her vibrant personality and her ability to connect with others through her creations.
She dedicated her professional life to the field of law as a paralegal at the esteemed firm Jones Day. She was selected to lead a walk-a-thon fundraiser at the Cleveland Zoo for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “Miss Cori” was also a beloved preschool teacher at Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church, where her warmth and nurturing spirit left a mark on countless students and their families.
Cori is survived by her beloved son, Brent Seifert, and her dear brother, Craig Saari. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were touched by her kindness, creativity, and dedication to the causes she was passionate about. We honor her memory as we gather to celebrate her life and the many ways she had enriched the lives of others.
Cori was preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma Saari.
