Cynthia Thomas- Kelly was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 11, 1957, to Frank and Ola Ree Thomas (both deceased).
Cynthia was educated through the Cleveland Public School district where she graduated high school at John Adams High. She went on to continue her education at Ursuline College where she received a Bachelors in Business Administration.
Cynthia was married to her beloved husband Edwin Kelly (deceased) for 27 years when he passed. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on November 10, 2018. She enjoyed the door-to-door ministry. Cynthia would join others in letter writing, telephone witnessing, and other aspects of the ministry to promote Jehovah's Kingdom. She loved to volunteer with building cleanups at Kingdom Halls, as well as volunteering within the community projects through her employer, Key Bank. Cynthia also enjoyed providing refreshments at various meetings with friends and family.
Cynthia was employed with Key Bank for more than 51 years. Her dedication and devotion to her husband, Edwin, her employer, her family and her extended Christian family and friends was shown through the way she supported them in every way that she could. Her smile and warmth would just light up the room.
Cynthia dealt with a serious illness for the past 2 years, however her strong belief in Jehovah’s promise to do away with sickness and death gave her the will to keep serving him faithfully. Cynthia succumbed to her illness and she passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
In addition to losing husband, Cynthia lost her brothers Jesse James Wilson, Mark Anthony Thomas and sister Cassandra Jones. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory daughters Patrice Houston (Stephen) and Kimberly Kelly, siblings Frank III (Rena), Dennis (Simone), Danny (Juanita deceased), Ronald, Oliver (Renee), Carol Rollins (Maurice), and Cheryle Chubb (Henry); aunt Susie Chambliss; uncle Leon Thomas; over 60 nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, as well as a myriad of spiritual friends.
