Harrington, Daniel J, aged 81 years ..... Loving and proud father of Daniel (Lorie), Dana, Michael (Kelley), and Kelly. Devoted grandfather of Lily, twins Mia & Ava and twins Reese & Hunter. Brother of Mary Crotty, John (dec.), Margaret (dec.) and Robert (dec.). (Former spouse of Donita (dec.), Pat (dec.) and Kathy). Uncle, Stepfather & Step Grandfather.

Dan was born in the Cleveland area of Irish immigrant parents and was educated at St. Aloysius, St. Ignatius, John Carroll University (BSBA '67) and Case Western Reserve University (EMBA '83). Dan was a Certified Public Accountant.

Dan had a 47year career in financial management including over 4 years at Ernst & Ernst, almost 28 years at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (dba Cleveland Clinic Health System) and over 15 years at Saint Luke's Foundation. At the Clinic, Dan was a Corporate Officer for 18 years and a member of the Board of Governors for 9 years. Dan retired from both the Clinic and Saint Luke's as the Chief Financial Officer. Dan was also 'Interim Chief Financial Officer at The Metro Health System and Interim Finance Director at Neighborhood Family Practice.

Dan also volunteered his time with the following organizations: Judson Retirement Community Board of Trustees, Little Sisters Of The Poor Advisory Board, Catholic Health Initiatives Board of Stewardship Trustees, Hope Lodge Board of Trustees, Mount Pleasant Community Zone Finance Committee, College of Wooster Audit Committee, St John Neuman Church, Gesu Church and Gesu Endowment Board, St Francis Xavier Church, and the Irish American Club East Side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, OH on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11 A.M. No Visitation. Private entombment at Lake View Cemetery. Post service celebration at Sully's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
