Diane Smith

DIANE RENEE SMITH (nee Parker) age 65, beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of William Stull (wife Kristian), Sheridan Vecchio, MD (husband Salvatore), and Johnathan Eperesi (wife Larissa); devoted grandmother of Dylaen, Socorra, Billy, James, Alexandra, Kailey, Nathan, Jase, and Caleb and step-grandmother of many; cherished daughter of the late William and Muriel (nee Higgenson) ; dearest sister of the late William and Kenneth Parker; dear aunt and friend of many.

Diane was born on November 16, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Collinwood High School. She continued her education at Lakeland Community College, where she received her Associates Degree. She lived in Myrtle Beach for 16 years and most recently Aurora for the past 3 years. Hardworking, Diane proudly worked with her family as an Estimator and treasured many friendships with those she worked with. Growing up she excelled in sports and as her grandchildren began playing sports of their own, she found joy in going to their games. She loved days spent behind the wheel of her red Dodge Challenger, with the windows down, wind blowing through her hair, and playing classic rock-n-roll. Diane’s devotion to her family went beyond measure. After fighting a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer, this genuine, empathetic, honest, and caring woman, with a unique dry sense of humor, peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on August 22, 2022.

She is reunited with her feline companion Rascal.

Contributions may be made in memory of Diane to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
