Donna Rae Daugherty

Donna Rae Daugherty, age 80, from Chesterland, Ohio, was the beloved daughter of Ted and Laura Stock and the devoted sister of Shirley (William) Osretkar. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard (Dick) Daugherty. Donna is survived by her best friend, Barbara Tekavec - a best friend that was like a sister to her. Donna is also survived by her nieces, Sue Swanson and Sherri Fountain, her nephew Steve Osretkar and several great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great niece. Family and friends were at the very center of Donna's world. Those relationships shaped her life and were a constant source of joy and strength for her.

Donna was funny, talkative, and incredibly friendly. She had a gift for conversation. Whether you were a lifelong friend or someone she had just met, she could make you feel comfortable within minutes. Time with her meant stories, laughter, and the feeling that you truly mattered. Donna loved her trips to California to visit her sister and family. She was incredibly thoughtful to her family and always made them feel very special. Donna made it a point to stay connected to people she loved through long phone calls and trips to visit them.

Donna also had a special love for Spaniels and cats. She made many good friends in the dog show community. Donna loved going to dog shows with her friends. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and the dogs. Her own pets (several dogs and cats throughout her life) weren't just animals - they were family. They brought her comfort, companionship, and of course, more stories to share.
