With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Donna Balogh Harvey, who entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 3, 2025, at the age of 63. She faced her illness with courage and grace, and in her final moments was surrounded by the love of her devoted family. Donna was the beloved mother of Joseph and Mathew Harvey; cherished daughter of Janet (née Yenulonis) and the late Joseph Balogh; treasured sister of Diane Rodic and Denise Elias (husband, John); proud aunt of Kaitlyn Elias; and a dear cousin and friend to many.
Donna was born on July 3, 1962, in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Regina High School, South Euclid, in 1980 and from Miami University of Ohio in 1984 with a BS in Finance. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Atlanta, GA, where she embarked on a successful career in a structured settlement and annuity consulting firm, retiring as Vice President of Operations after more than 20 years.
Her life in Atlanta was enriched by a close-knit group of beloved friends whom she considered her extended family. Donna loved playing tennis, hiking and biking while admiring the nature around her. A lifelong Cleveland sports fan, she proudly cheered on the Indians and Browns and was an active member of the Atlanta Browns Backers Club. Music and singing also brought her joy, especially 70's disco and Motown, and she was often the first to be on the dance floor. Hosting was one of her greatest talents; Donna delighted in bringing people together, opening her home for festive gatherings filled with laughter, friendship, and fun.
Those who knew Donna will remember her for her quick wit, boundless humor, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. She never knew a stranger, her warmth and generosity uplifted those around her. Donna's presence was magnetic, her spirit open, and her heart profoundly kind.
Donna will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and connection.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Donna via mail to Suncrest Hospice, 6500 Rockside Road, Suite #130, Independence, OH 44131.
