Dorothy A. Mccormack

Dorothy A. McCormack (nee Miles) 88 of Wooster, Ohio, passed away on July 18, 2023. She was born on June 16, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up in Cleveland Heights. Dorothy attended Beaumont School and continued her education at Bowling Green State University. There she was a member of the Newman Club as well as Delta Gamma Sorority and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. For many years, Dorothy also resided in Cincinnati and volunteered for St. Joseph Infant and Maternity Home and was a member of Cincinnati Junior Service. She also enjoyed volunteering at People to People Ministries in Wooster. Dorothy had been a teacher in Cincinnati and Wooster City Schools. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wooster.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Sean (Jennifer), Christopher (Shanna), Connell (Jennifer), and Sheila; grandchildren, Kelcey, (BO), Angus, Carly, Eamonn, Louise, Killan and Eloise. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Bertha (nee Kelley); son Patrick, and sister Marilyn.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to People to People Ministries, 454 E Bowman St, Wooster, OH 44691, or to St. Joseph Home, 10722 Wyscarver Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 1545 S Green Rd, South Euclid, OH 44121. Burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID. The family would like to thank Danbury Senior Living and Crossroads Hospice for their excellent care.
