DOROTHY NOLIDIS (nee Mouriopoulos), passed away Feb. 10, 2026, aged 87 years, beloved wife for 62 years to the late Harry, dearest mother of Renee Sadler (husband Gary) and Tina Young (husband Jim), loving grandmother of George Sadler (wife Marina), Christina Sharp (husband Andrew), Emily Southam (husband Tim) and Stephen Young, dear great-grandmother of Harrison Sadler, devoted daughter of: John and Ourania (nee Soulios) Mouriopoulos, cherished sister of George Mouriopoulos (wife Renata), treasured aunt and grand-aunt.
Dorothy was born in Kastoria, Greece, and came to the United States as a young woman to begin her life with her beloved husband, Harry. Together, they built a beautiful marriage rooted in hard work and love and created a successful family restaurant—an extension of who they were: generous and welcoming.
Faith was the foundation of Dorothy’s life. She lived her faith through service and love for others. She was deeply devoted to her church and an active member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. She served faithfully in the Philoptochos Society, the church library, founded the Sunshine Group, and volunteered for many years at the Pastry Booth during the Greek festival—always giving of herself with humility and joy.
Above all else, Dorothy’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her crown jewels—her greatest treasures. Everything she did was rooted in her love for them.
She was also an exceptional cook and a gracious hostess. Hospitality was her love language. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her presence always warm and welcoming.
In the later years of her life, Dorothy faced the journey of Alzheimer’s disease with dignity and grace. Though it took words and memories, it never took her faith, her spirit, or the love she inspired.
Our family is deeply grateful to the compassionate caregivers at Arden Courts of Chagrin Falls, who cared for Dorothy with tenderness and love, and who became family to us. We also thank Heartland Hospice, whose guidance and kindness brought comfort, dignity, and peace during her final days.
Dorothy leaves us a legacy of faith and love, and a treasured collection of her beloved icons—reminders of a life lived centered on God. She lived by the words she believed deeply: “God willing… God first.”
May her memory be eternal. Αἰωνία ἡ μνήμη.
