Edward Daniel Fitzpatrick

Edward Daniel Fitzpatrick Jr., age 65, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Ed was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose strength, kindness, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He dedicated much of his life to working in the steel industry, where his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family reflected the character he carried throughout his life.

Beyond his work, Ed’s greatest joy was found on Lake Erie. He had a lifelong love of boating and spent many treasured years at his local beach club, a place that brought him peace, friendship, and countless happy memories. His love for the water became a passion he proudly shared with his children and grandchildren, creating traditions and memories that will live on for generations.

Edward is lovingly remembered by his former wife, Margaret Fitzpatrick; his children, Noella Fitzpatrick, Ileen Gates (Chadwick), and Edward Fitzpatrick III (Juliana); his beloved grandchildren Shawn, Taylor, Anthony, Emily, Jackson, Sandra, Edward IV, and Owen. Beloved brother to Dianne LaMonica, Daniel Fitzpatrick (Margaret), and Kevin Fitzpatrick (Valerie). Edward was preceded in death by his cherished son, Anthony McCarthy, and his devoted sister, Eileen Edwards.

Ed will be remembered for his huge heart, his deep love for family, his enduring strength, and the happiness he found simply being surrounded by those he loved most. His memory will continue to live on in every sunset on the water, every family gathering, and every life he touched.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ed Thursday May 14, 2026 at DEJOHN-FLYNN MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME, 28890 CHARDON ROAD, (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OHIO 44092 from 4:00P.M.-7:00P.M.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday May 15, 2026 a St. Jerome Catholic Church,15000 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44110.(PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment Private.
