EILEEN J. RICCI (McCrudden) age 88, beloved wife for 66 years of Orlando; loving mother of five boys; Anthony (Carole), Vincent (Michelle), Phillip (Barbara), Joseph (Karin), Matthew (Jodie); devoted grandmother of thirteen grandchildren; Justin, Gregory (deceased), Nate (Stacey), Alex, Adam, Madalyn McKinley (Nick), Dominic (deceased), Michael, John (Elizabeth), Mark, Paul, David and Anna; and four great-grandchildren; Luca, Logan, Margo, and Sadie; cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Lamont) McCrudden; beloved sister of the late Terry McCrudden (Delores, deceased), Joan Caldwell (Bill, deceased), Patricia Dwyer (Mike); cherished sister-in-law of Daniel and Susan Ricci, the late Marie and Paul Evans, and the late Valerie and George Helbig; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friends of so many.
Eileen was born on September 9, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio and passed peacefully at home on December 16, 2025. She attended Collinwood High School and dedicated her life to both her family and her community. Her greatest vocation was raising her five boys. Beyond her role as a loving mother, she worked at White Motors, with the Sisters of Notre Dame, and was actively involved with the Geauga County Department of Aging.
Eileen was proud of her Irish heritage and had a lifelong love of Irish dancing and celebrating on St. Patrick’s Day with family and friends. Her many interests included golfing, traveling, taking bus trips, going to the movies, cheering on Cleveland sports teams, listening to bluegrass music, trying her luck at casinos, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
She was a loving, caring, and kind woman with a sweet spirit, a wonderful sense of humor, and a selfless devotion to those around her. She will always be remembered for her deep love and unwavering dedication to her family and her faith.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Eileen to the Hattie Larlham Foundation, 9772 Diagonal Rd., Mantua, OH 44255. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Rd., Newbury at 10 AM. Burial following at Munn Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Eileen at DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION CENTER, 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) MONDAY 3-7PM and TUESDAY 9-10 at St. HELEN CATHOLIC CHURCH in Newbury, Ohio.
