Ellis L. Dillen Sr.

The Dillen family would like to sadly announce the passing of family patriarch Ellis L. Dillen Sr (80) on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Ellis was born in 1941 in Utahville, PA to parents Raymond and Mabel Dillen. Ellis graduated BCI High School in 1958 and soon after joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Tucson, AZ.  Ellis returned from Arizona to marry his one and only love Blairetta (“Blair”) G. Rickard of Hollentown, PA in 1966. He moved to Cleveland, OH to pursue a career in computer technology with the Eaton Corporation where he spent 38 years as a valuable employee and retired in 2004. Along the way, Ellis and Blair built a beautiful family, including sons Ellis Jr, and Eric, and daughters Lori and Stacy.

Ellis had a very strong Christian faith and spent countless hours dedicating his life to Christ and serving his Lord at Freedom Alliance Church for the past 40 years. Ellis enjoyed tending his garden and lawn, shoveling his driveway, going to the gym, making others laugh, spending time with his family, traveling to Myrtle Beach and cheering on his grandsons in all their sporting activities.

Ellis was the beloved husband for 55 years to Blairetta “Blair” (nee Rickard); loving father of Ellis Jr. (wife Patty), Eric, Stacy Pollock (husband Ben) and the late Lori Dillen; devoted grandfather of Ellis William Dillen, Aiden, Evan, Peyton, and Gavin Pollock; cherished son of the late Raymond Dillen and Mabel (nee Semple); dearest brother of David (wife Nanci) and the late Melvin (wife Nancy), William (wife Laura) and Norman (wife Linda); dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many.
