Eugene F. “Gene” Pipoly

EUGENE F. “GENE” PIPOLY age 71, beloved husband for 32 years of Shirley Senger-Pipoly; loving stepfather of Herb (wife Christy) Burmeister and Aaron Burmeister; devoted grandfather of Ivy and Zach Burmeister; cherished son of the late Eugene and Mary Virginia (nee Neelon) Pipoly; dearest brother of Mary Beth (husband Rick) Gilmore; dearest son-in-law of the late Mildred and Harvey Senger; dear brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle of many.

Eugene F. “Gene” Pipoly passed away October 14, 2022. He entered this world on May 25, 1951. Born in Cleveland he spent his childhood in South Euclid. After college he moved to Willoughby and eventually moved to Cleveland where he lived for over 35 years. Gene was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Gene graduated from St. Joseph High School and then went on to Villanova University for Undergraduate Studies and John Carroll University for his Graduate Degree. While at Villanova he was involved with the “Alpha and Omega Praise Community” where he met lifelong friends. Gene was faculty at Christ the King Elementary School, Lake Catholic High School, St. Joseph High School and later in life at Lakeland Community College. He was a Registered Nurse at Lake West Hospital for 30 years before retiring.

If you ever spent time with Gene you would have realized what a gentle person he was. His spirituality came across with his soft-spoken good-natured personality. He had a moral outlook on life and was kind and generous to his friends, co-workers, and neighbors. You could sense his intelligence and you just knew he was a person you could trust. Gene will be missed by many.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 24, 2022 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 19951 Lakeshore Blvd., Euclid, Ohio. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Gene at the Church on Monday October 24, 2022 from 9 – 11 AM.
