Frank LaRosa

FRANK LaROSA, age 70, beloved husband for 45 years of Karen (nee Bennici); loving father of Lisa Gritton (husband Alex) and Melanie Forlani (husband Colby); devoted grandfather of Frankie, Ava and Joey; cherished son of the late Pietra (nee Tuzzolino) and Pasquale LaRosa; dearest brother of Rosa Tuzzolino (husband Sal Martinelli, deceased) of Palermo and the late Isidoro LaRosa (wife Balbina); beloved son-in-law of the late Joyce Dolezal and Santo Bennici and brother-in-law of Loraine and Paul DeZort and June and Mark Vittulo; dearest uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend of many. 

Frank was born and raised in Sicily and moved to the United States in 1971.  He was a skilled cement finisher for many years. Frank had many hobbies including gardening, landscaping, playing soccer while living in Italy, and especially car collecting – he loved his sports cars!  He enjoyed listening to music, having coffee with his buddies and sharing stories, and sometimes the chance to ‘wheel and deal’.  His family remembers him as social, he never knew a stranger, best story-teller, and his general love of making people laugh.  Frank was a devoted husband, loving father, and a proud Papa!  All those that knew and loved Frank will dearly miss him and the ways he lit up a room.   

Contributions may be made in memory of Frank to American Cancer Society. Celebration of Life Service Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10 AM at THE De JOHN FUNERAL HOME in Chesterland. Entombment following at Western Reserve Memorial Garden. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Frank at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) THURSDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
