FREDERICK “FRED” E. BEEGLE

FREDERICK “FRED” E. BEEGLE, born on November 24, 1937, to the late Frederick and Monica (nee Bruen) in Cleveland, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024, at the age of 86. Beloved husband for 62 years of the late Eileen (nee Hollis), loving father of Kevin (Amy), Greg (Carrie), Jack, Angela (Bill Proctor) and Christopher (Colleen), devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, cherished brother of Terry (Margie) and Tim (Carlee), dear brother-in-law to John (Faye) Hollis (both deceased), Paul (deceased) (Joan Hollis) and Fr. Mark Hollis, fond uncle to many.

Fred was a proud graduate of John Carroll and Case Western Reserve University, President (owner) of Corporate Futures Group, Inc. for over 40 years as an automotive consultant. Loved to travel with his wife, play racquetball and walk their dog. Spent many hours as a Cub Scout Leader and Basketball Coach for boys. Enjoyed being a Cleveland sports fan.

He was also proud of his ROTC years with the Army and told many stories of that time and his many jobs as a young man from butcher assistant to working at the Plain Dealer (where he met his future wife) to professor at Cleveland State University. Fred lived for over 50 years in University Hts. and was an active member of Gesu Parish before moving to Stow-Hudson and St. Mary’s Church.

Please meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at Gesu Catholic Church at 11 AM. Following a reception, burial in All Souls Cemetery will be private. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Fred at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) THURSDAY 4-7 PM.
