James E. “Jim” Bilinski

James “Jim” E. Bilinski age 76, beloved husband for 52  years of Kathryn (nee Rini); loving father of Michael (wife Kathy) and Joseph (wife Kate); cherished son of the late Stanley and Georgia (nee Wolfe); devoted brother of Joyce Lutz (husband Ron), Gerri Bucheli (husband Bob), Jack Bilinski (wife Ann),  and Joseph (deceased);  dear uncle, great-uncle and great-great- uncle of many.

Jim was born January 27, 1945 and died peacefully on September 5 2021. He grew up in Cleveland and spent the last 49 years in Lyndhurst where he raised his family.

He was a member of the St. Clare Catholic Church. He attended and graduated from Collinwood High School in 1963. He went on to serve in the United States Army and was a proud veteran. He was a steelworker for LTV.

Jim thoroughly enjoyed woodworking. He especially enjoyed making things for his family and friends. He was a devoted Cleveland sports fan and rooted for the Indians. Jim was the family brew master.  He and his wife Kathy also enjoyed visiting the casinos.

He was a fan of classic rock and country music. Jim found the most enjoyment in life from his family. He was devoted to his family and his faith and he was especially close to his siblings.  He was a loving and generous man. He had a great sense of humor and was described as witty. He always had a smile on his face.  He will be missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 5659 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, OH 44124 at 10 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jim at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 6-8 PM. Family kindly requests that all guests wear masks for the visitation.
