James Golias

JAMES "RED" GOLIAS age 67, beloved partner of Mary Ellen Klingman (nee Scaminace); loving father of Jason (wife Rinah), Matthew (wife Kari), and Caryn Szczepinski (husband Allan); devoted grandfather "Red Papa" of Leila, Maci, West, and Ren; cherished son of Richard J. and the late Joan A. (nee Arnone) Golias; dearest brother of Tammy Flegal (husband Kevin), and Richard (wife Diane); former husband of Christine Golias; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Red was born on March 12, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio where he later graduated from Maple Heights High School in 1977. He went on to become a beloved UPS driver. In his free time, he loved to watch Indians, Browns, and Cavs games. He also enjoyed watching horse racing and going to concerts. His funny, charismatic, and magnetic personality will be deeply missed by many. He will be remembered by his heart of gold and devotion to his family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at St. Anselm Catholic Church 12969 Chillicothe Road Chesterland, OH 44026 at 10AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Red at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) TUESDAY 3-7PM.
