JAMES JOSEPH BIRD, aged 95 years, loving companion of Natalie Tricarichi, dear father of Karen Mellon (husband John) and James Bird, devoted grandfather “Papa Jimmy” to Nicholas, Jenna, Jamie and Jordan, cherished son of the late George and Nellie (nee Daddick), fond brother of the late Eleanor Anter.

Jim attended St. Ann grade school in Cleveland Heights and Benedictine High School. He then went of to serve in the U.S. Army during WWII. After the war, he attended John Carroll University and started an interior design business with several of his friends. During Jim’s long career, he worked in the furniture business and was a design consultant for many well know clients throughout the Cleveland and Florida areas. Jim had a great talent and passion for putting together elegant designs. He enjoyed golf and spent many winters in Florida. Jim was an active member of St. Elias Church. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Contributions suggested to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Entombment Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate his life at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) THURSDAY MORNING 10 – 11 AM.
