JOHN A. BUCHANAN age 82, beloved husband for 57 years of Joyce (nee Petric); loving father of John (wife Cindy), Wendy Zorman (husband Christian), and Brenda Buchanan (wife Terri Notte); devoted grandfather of Michael (wife Molly) and Mitch Buchanan (wife Brittany), Kathryn and Audrey Zorman and great-grandfather of Toby Buchanan; dearest brother of the late Robert Buchanan (wife Laura, deceased), Kenneth Buchanan (wife Sarah, deceased), and Leo Buchanan (wife Sara, deceased); dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many. Survived by his granddogs Willow and Satchmo. U.S. Army Veteran.

John was born on October 10, 1938 in Dilliner, Pennsylvania and passed away on October 5, 2021. He was a resident of Willoughby since 2019, previously residing in Euclid and was a member of St. Noel Catholic Church since 1993. John graduated from Mapletown High School in Pennsylvania in 1956 and worked as a tool and die machinist and warehouse manager. He was a Past President of Holy Name Society at St. Mary Church in Collinwood and a founding member of Always Our Children Ministry. John loved bowling, traveling the USA and cruises. He was an Indians, OSU and football fan. John will be remembered most as a gentle, loving, generous, kind and humble man who had a great sense of humor. He was devoted to his family and faith. John will be dearly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 11, 2021 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 11 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 1-5 PM.
