John J. Shadley

age 92, beloved husband for 67 years of Lorrene (nee Ladd); loving father of Mark (wife Kathy) and Dale (Lisa Gregory); devoted grandfather of Andrew (wife Nicole), Sara (fiancé Matt Rodriguez), James and Evan (Julie Reese); cherished son of the late John J. and Stella (nee Barwick); dearest brother of Virginia Cognati (husband Nick deceased) and the late Carol (Kahn) Litman (husband Julius Kahn deceased and husband Ira Litman deceased) and Josephine Lucci (husband Tony deceased); treasured brother-in-law of the late Norm & Alice Ladd; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. US Army Veteran.

John was born January 21st 1933 in Cleveland Ohio. He graduated from Shaw High School in 1951. He was a draftsman for Sany Metal. John was a regular blood donor giving over 200 pints of blood to the Red Cross. John loved recycling and scrapping with a variety of materials. He was an avid Browns, Indians and CAVS fan. John was social and friendly with a very strong constitution and had a contagious sense of humor. He was hard working and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. John passed away on September 22, 2025.and will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 at 1 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following with Military Honors at Acacia Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of John at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) TUESDAY 4-8PM.
