JOSEPH C. NOCIFORA age 90, loving companion of the late Helen “Jessie” LoConti (nee Johnson); cherished friend and surrogate step-father of Henry and Lisa LoConti; loving Papa of Jon-Anthony, Henry III, Michael and Carmen LoConti; cherished son of the late Charles and Josephine (nee Santora); dearest brother of Pauline, Charles, Francis (wife Lynn) and the late Carmen (wife Mary), Angelina and John Peter Nocifora; dear uncle and friend of many.

Joe was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 7, 1933 and passed away at University Hospital Geauga Medical Center June 20, 2023. Joe was a former Franciscan Priest and was known as Brother Severin, OFM. Joe was an usher at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chardon and a volunteer at Villa Serena Senior Center in Mayfield Hts.  Joe was a radiologist and medical assistant, installing pacemakers by profession and was a Ham Radio operator. His other hobbies include guitar playing and singing, playing cards, Bingo and watching old movies. He was also a football fan and a very social person. His family and friends describe Joe as a very kind, loving, compassionate person with a servant’s heart. He was devoted to his Catholic faith, his family and his friends and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Joe to St. Mary Catholic Church in Chardon. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, June 30, 2023 at St Mary’s Catholic Church 401 North St, Chardon at 11:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Joe at THE CHURCH FRIDAY MORNING from 10:30-11:30AM.
