Joseph Dvorabic

JOSEPH J. DVORABIC, aged 83 years, passed away on Sunday Dec. 21, 2008 at Mt. St. Joseph in Euclid, dearest father of Diane Strahan, loving grandfather of Justin Strahan (Stacy Thompson) and Brian (Deborah Mickley), great-grandfather of Frances (all of Minneapolis, MN.), cherished brother of Helen Camillo, also survived by his caretaker and friend, Deborah Hines. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Betty (nee Branisel), his son David, his parents Ivan and Jela (Helen), and his beloved dog Ling Ling. Joe was born in Cleveland in 1925. He served with the U.S. Army in W.W. II (1943-1945) and fought with the 143rd AAA Mobile Gun Battalion, Battery C during the Battle of the Bulge (1944-1945). He enjoyed a long career with General Electric. He was a volunteer at Euclid Hospital for many years and received ‘Volunteer of the Year Award ‘ and his 10,000 hour pin.
