Josephine was born January 13, 1937, in Termini Imerese, Italy. In Italy, she would attend school up through the 6th grade, then learn to sew from the nuns in Sicily. She would eventually leave Italy in 1954, when she came to the U.S and made a home in Highland Heights. She was one of the first parishioners in the area to attend St. Paschal Baylon when they moved to Highland Heights as well. She was a highly devoted catholic, constantly in prayer for everyone she knew. She even had the keys to the church. Josephine put her sewing skills to use, working as a seamstress most of her life. She was a seamstress for some time for Franklin Simon, California Specialty Shop, and Shuttlers Uniforms. She also picked up and enjoyed crocheting. Josephine liked listening to music like the Rat Pack and The Old Guard and loved to visit the Highland Heights pool in the summer. Josephine found the greatest enjoyment in her family, especially her grandkids, and loved to cook for them. She made a special dinner every Sunday. She was social with a great sense of humor, and she loved to dance. Josephine had a loving spirit, devotion to her faith and family, and always lived her life to the fullest.
