Josephine M. Petitto

JOSEPHINE M. PETITTO (nee Guciardo) age 100, beloved wife of the late Salvatore “Sam”; loving mother of Antoinette “Toni” Fiderio (husband George) and Joseph; devoted grandmother of Genna Daher (husband Steve) and Teressa Fiderio and great-grandmother of Dominic, Adrianna and Grace; cherished daughter of the late Michael and Ursula “Rose” (nee Filicicchia) Guciardo. Dearest sister of the late Anne Bordonaro, Joseph Guciardo and Mary Visdos.  

Josephine was born on February 10, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1941 and received her nursing certification from Jane Adams Nursing School. As a hardworking LPN, she was employed first by Kaiser Permanente and then Hillcrest Hospital. During her free time, Josephine was active baking, cooking, gardening, bowling and cheering on the Cleveland Indians. Her family describes her as hardworking, strong willed, giving, and social with a wonderful sense of humor. Above all, she was highly devoted to her family. Josephine passed away on January 29, 2024, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Prayers of Christian Burial Monday, February 5, 2024, at The Funeral Home at 11 AM. Entombment following at All Souls Cemetery.
