Judy Fade

JUDITH L. FADE (nee Smith) age 83, beloved wife of the late Robert B; loving mother of Debbie Buber (husband Mark); devoted grandmother of John Buber; cherished daughter of the late Rita (nee Diffin) and Bernard Smith.

Judy was born on October 19, 1942 in Cleveland. She graduated from West Geauga High School in 1960. She started as a bookkeeper, then moved to the accounting department and went on to have a long career as a purchasing manager. She also did the accounting for the family business.

She loved being outdoors, gardening, and bird watching. Bowling, crocheting, playing cards and learning to play poker with her grandson were also favorites. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan, supporting the Browns, Indians and the Monsters. She liked cruises and traveling to Las Vegas where she played the slots.

She was an auxiliary member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Chardon, Aerie 2261.

Judy will be remembered as a strong-willed and independent woman who had a kind and giving heart. She liked spending time with friends and family, playing bingo and helping prepare for her steak dinner team making them laugh with her sense of humor. She was a treasured relative and friend of many and will be truly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Judy to Holy Family Hospice at St. Augustine, 7801 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44102. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Judy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 2026, 2-5PM.
