SHUM JULIAN J. “JIM” SHUM, age 73. Beloved husband of Barbara A. (nee Krejci). Loving father of Stephen (wife, Paula) and Jennifer Carlile (husband, Mark). Cherished son of the late Julius and Mary Shum. Dear brother of the late Josephine.

Jim was a U.S. Marine veteran and member of American Legion Post 678. He volunteered in the Hunters Safety Program and as a Cub Scout leader. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and fishing for steelhead trout in the Chagrin River. One of his greatest enjoyments was an annual fishing trip to Moon River Basin in Canada. Mr. Shum retired from Ohio Bell after 32 years as a supervisor. After retirement, he worked at Boaters World from 1991 until the store closed.

Mass Of Christian Burial Wednesday, December 19th, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, at 11:00 a.m. Interment All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Jim at the MULLALLY FUNERAL HOME located in the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91), TUESDAY, 2-4 AND 7-9 P.M. Arrangements by MULLALLY FUNERAL SERVICE 216-531-9411
