Kathleen "Kitty" Severino

KATHLEEN “KITTY” SEVERINO (nee DiSalvo) age 90, beloved wife for 66 years of the late Louis; loving mother of Richard (wife Renee), Donald (Debbie Myers), David (wife Monica), Louis Jr. (wife Karen), and Thomas (wife Amy) ; devoted grandmother of Lisa Crissman (husband Steele), Tyler Strohecker (husband Tyler), Mia Severino, Kristi Severino, Dominik Severino (wife Keara), Anthony Severino (fiancé Leslie Armstrong), Joi Schultz (husband David), Gino Severino (wife Sarah), Salvatore Severino (wife Alexandra), Nicolette Kleinhampl (husband James), Maria Clark (husband Michael), Alexandria Severino (Tony Pampena), Louis Severino III (fiancé Christina Carocci), Sam Severino, Jake Severino, and great-grandmother of 13 with 3 on the way; cherished daughter of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Kathleen “Kay” (nee Miller) DiSalvo; dearest sister of Florence Condidorio (husband Joseph) and Sam DiSalvo (wife Vida, deceased), and the late Ronald DiSalvo (wife Rosie) and Vincent “Jim” DiSalvo (wife Connie). dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Kitty was born on November 24, 1935, to Kay and Sam, in Batavia, NY. She graduated from Batavia High School in 1953. Kitty met the love of her life, Lou, and the two were happily married for over 66 years. They decided to start a family together, and Kitty brought 5 beautiful boys into the world, becoming the matriarch of her household. Through her marriage to Lou, Kitty entered the Severino family business: Lou Severino Construction. She was part owner alongside her husband and took to being in charge like a fish to water! One of Kitty’s favorite activities was golfing, and she was a member of both Pine Ridge Country Club and Wind Star Country Club in Naples, Florida. She also enjoyed Dominos, Cards (especially gin-rummy), and traveling. Kitty was an avid Cleveland sports fan, and rooted for every team year after year, regardless of what their record looked like. Kitty was an amazing cook and even better baker.

Kitty’s beautiful life was defined by her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the heart of her home and the loving foundation for generations. Kitty didn’t know a stranger, and she graciously shared her many gifts with friends and family far and wide. Her warm smile and welcoming home will be missed, but the example she set is woven into the stories of the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will hold her in our hearts forever. Kitty returned home to heaven on December 29, 2025, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind a legacy as a woman who was devoted to her family and faith.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Kitty to Hospice of The Western Reserve at P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church (35781 Stevens Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095) at 1 PM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Kitty at DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY from 9AM – 12 NOON.
