Kathryn Louise Caldwell

KATHRYN LOUISE CALDWELL (nee Lawrence) age 93, beloved wife for 42 years of the late Junior Edward Caldwell; loving mother of Susan Grant, Deborah Seidman, and Kathryn Caldwell; cherished daughter of the late Alfred and Gladys Lawrence (nee Yager); dearest sister of the late Kenneth Lawrence and Mary Lawrence; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Kathryn was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on January 31, 1929, to Alfred and Gladys Lawrence and passed away on August 12, 2022. Kathryn spent most of her working career in retail and as a merchandise buyer for Fries and Schuele Department Store in Cleveland, OH. Kathryn also enjoyed boating with her husband, daughters and the community of friends at Lakeside Yacht Club in Cleveland. Her special joy was teaching Sunday school at Broadway United Methodist Church/Cleveland and later at Mayfield United Church/Mayfield Village where she also volunteered in their hospitality and food service programs for many Church functions as well for the Hillcrest Rotary and the Mayfield Church Day Care Center. Kathryn was able to fulfill one of her long-time dreams of visiting the Holy Lands which she did twice along with many of her dear friends at the Mayfield United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed quilting and traveling.  Kathryn was loving, talented, and at times stubborn.  She was a good cook and a great Mom. She will be greatly missed by many.

Contributions may be made in memory of Kathryn to Hospice of the Western Reserve. PRIVATE SERVICES to be held graveside, at Clark Cemetery in Del Rio, TN. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.
