Kathryne Jean Theobald

June 24, 1990 — May 30, 2025

KATHRYNE JEAN THEOBALD age 34, beloved girlfriend for 16 years of Sid Vargo; cherished daughter of Marjory Theobald and the late Bruce Theobald; dearest sister of Lauren Theobald; dear niece of Rev. Cynthia Theobald; and loving owner of her cherished cat, the late Pickles.

Kathryne was born on June 24, 1990, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her joyful parents, Marjory and Bruce. She grew up in a household filled with music, thanks in large part to her father, a talented guitar player. Kathryne found early joy in singing alongside her beloved older sister Lauren, with whom she shared a deep and lifelong bond.

A proud resident of Shaker Heights for over 20 years, Kathryne graduated from The Gerson School before meeting the love of her life, Sid Vargo. Together, they shared 16 happy years, building a life filled with love, laughter, and shared passions.

Kathryne's home was brightened further by her cherished cat, Pickles. Their companionship brought her immense comfort and happiness-quiet moments with Pickles were among her greatest joys.

Professionally, Kathryne served as an art curator at the Cleveland Art Museum, a role in which her creative spirit and eye for beauty truly shone. She was known not only for her artistic sensibilities but also for her strong convictions, most notably her dedication to veganism. She was a brilliant cook, delighting loved ones with her inventive meals.

Her passions extended beyond the kitchen and the gallery. Kathryne loved to read, practice embroidery, and listen to her favorite band, Sonata Arctica. She was vibrant, bold, and undeniably unique, someone whose personality filled every room she entered.

Kathryne passed away on May 30, 2025. Her loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew her, and the world is a little less bright without her spirit.

Private services will be held. Arrangements and Cremation entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
