Lawrence Frank

LAWRENCE FRANK age 78, beloved husband for 54 years of Louise  (nee Zabukovec); loving father of Daniel, Gregory (Maria), and Michael (Nicci); devoted grandfather of Julia, Lauren, Maddy, and Anthony; cherished son of the late Joze  and Franciska (nee Lever); dearest brother of the late Maria (Carl, deceased) Druzina and Ivan (Ludvika, deceased); brother-in-law of Mitzi (nee Zabukovec) and Tom Sejnowski and Michelle (nee Zabukovec) and (Scott, deceased) Alter; proud uncle of Igor, Fran, and many others.

Lawrence was born on August 8, 1944, in Gaberk, Slovenia, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 19. He and Louise married in 1968. Larry was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Collinwood for the past 55 years. To say he was hardworking would be an understatement. He dedicated 10 years at General Electric as a tool and die maker, until proudly owning and operating F&H Grinding Inc. in 1982. Though he loved to work, he also found enjoyment in bowling playing Balinca Bocce, and dancing to his favorite music. He built many friendships and stayed close to his heritage as a member of KSKJ, Slovenska Pristava, and the Primorski Club. Above all things Larry loved time with his family, whether they were hanging out by the pool, playing games, or dancing to polkas. He was sentimental and it was evident how proud he was of his grandchildren. On July 29, 2023, Larry passed away leaving his family and friends missing his caring and easy-going ways.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Larry to St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Collinwood.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, August 4, 2023, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Collinwood, 15519 Holmes Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110, at 10 AM.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Larry at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY from 4-8 PM.
